Jeanette Townsend shares about the Battle for the Soul

"My name is Jeanette Townsend. I am from Valemont, British Columbia. I just retired a little over a year ago after serving as Mayor for eighteen years. During the times of my six terms as Mayor, many times it was brought to my attention that not enough time and thought is given to helping the young people in our nation. Many of them are distressed. They feel somewhat aimless because they don't trust the direction that the nation is heading, and they have concerns. I attended the Anglican Church in Williams Lake, as well in Valemont. Being involved with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and getting quarterly reports, the plight of young people was really starting to touch my heart and my concern about the future welfare of this country. This book Battle for the Soul of Canada by Rev Ed Hird was advertised in one of our Anglican publications. I ordered four of them and kept one. I gave one to my MLA Shirley Bond who I know is a Christian and would be very interested in the welfare of the young people.

It's an excellent book. I am distributing the two that I have left, because I have read it and I want to really commend the Rev. Ed Hird for writing and publishing it. I think that 'The Battle for the Soul of Canada' is a very timely title for a book, because it is a battle for the soul of our nation, and the battle for the soul of the children who will be our future leaders in this country."
